purity rings?

i no that purity rings state that your willing to be pure until marriage. what else does it say you can or cannot do.

There are several stories and probably informative websites about them. While I'm in favor of waiting until you're ready and mature enough, I find the purity ring and it's ceremony to be highly disturbing. My daughters would have to do a lot of convincing before I would consider it.

Their primary purpose is for sexual purity - I suppose other things could apply if the wearer chose to.
It doesn't "say" anything else in particular.
