I dont know if anyone else ever feels like this but, sometimes i feel like people walk all over me, but how do i stop them doing that? i want them to respect me, but i dont know how or where to start? how do you get people to respect you?

The last ten years of research seems to support the prevailing theory among researchers and doctors, that gender dysphoriea [Transsexualisum] is not a mantel disorder, but rather a birth defect. Much the same as being born with a bad heart valve.
There is an anatomical difference between a male and a female brain. It possible to hand a medical student a human brain and ask the student; "Is this brain male or female?" and by checking certain structures IN the brain the student can say that the brain is either male or female. but the student may not be able to say if it's from a man or a woman it MAY be from a gender dysphoric person.

IF this research turns out to be right… Will you reevaluate your personal position regarding transsexuals?

Why are people so overly critical and why do they tear down people who have genuine questions? I'm not saying I've been 100% nice and that I've never criticised anyone but where's the fun in telling people they're stupid for asking questions? That's what Yahoo Answers is here for!!

I think the old ways of bringing up kids are the best. Kids always knew someone was there for them(usually mum). They had respect because they got a smack if they didn't. Today, we are told you mustn't smack, shout or say 'no' to your child too much. Kids have free reign, parents are afraid to do anything incase they damage them and alot of the kids grow up with strangers anyway.
I say go back to the old ways. Who agrees with me?

how is it possible you can get a phd in architecture if you didn't study it. suppose you studied languages. furthermore, will you ever get a job as an architect if you only have a phd in this field. thanx a lot (i know that quality counts in USA, i'm talking about europe though)

I can't understand some of my colleagues and relatives who are working their little ****'s off and salting as much as they can of their earnings away into pensions etc so that they can have a cushty retirement, some of them hardly see their partners and children except when they're completely shattered. They'll be too worn out to enjoy their pensions or dead the way some of them are going!!
There has to be a happy medium doesn't there?

Looking at Africa 200-400 years ago and now wouldn't it be logical to see that the slaves that came to the Americas were the luckiest people in Africa. The vast majority were already slaves in Africa in what is now Uganda, Nigeria, Angola, Mali, Chad, Somalia. The conditions were far more worse than when they came to a southern plantation in SouthCarolina where they were cared for and were allowed to have families etc. That would seem to be one lucky ticket to America. A friend who just returned from a 10 nation trip to Africa showed me a few hours of video tape of these poor kids with flies in their eyes...we are talking millions, aides, diease and on and on. When I hear some ignorant black leader speaking of the terrible conditions for blacks in this nation I will always be reminded of the starvation and corruption in the land of his ancestors...shouldn't they be thankful for what the white man and how we lifted them out of that hell-hole Africa?
