have a slight tan and blue eyes but my heritage is french, native american and quater hispanic. iam very unusual look wise for my heritage, but it deeply upset and offends me when white people around me, where i live in britain, british white people keep percieving me as a white person, its making me feel angry and upset...how can i handle this, handle them?~

i feel like they mock me and laugh because of how i look and my culture and they percieve me as one of them.....this is really annoying me and causing bad feeling inside......i eventually want to emigrate from the uk

(no other white people i have this problem with from any other country i get along great with)

Why, besides for purposes of classifcation, do people insist on labeling others? Why not see them as what they are more importantly - human beings?

I do and I realize that stereotypes have just as much of a likelihood of being true as untrue. I have no interest in knowing people as labels, I want to know them as people.

Why am I such an oddity?

It kind of blows my mind that people ask questions on this site when they have the whole world at their fingertips,,,via the internet .I understand that people want a *real person *response
but I still don't get in a way. What do you think ? Why here and not google ? Is it that human connection that we seek ?

If we don't talk with each other and attempt to educate one another; we live in a bubble of ignorance, and react on emotions rather than logic.
Civics should be taught at a young age and people SHOULD feel free to speak openly about what IS GOING ON!
We don't have to connect political bias to everything. What about civil liberties and the slow conditioning of our society. Think twice if you think that technology is all good.
How many people are slaves to it?

As an american society we shun at a fact when a man is accused of hitting a woman yet at the same time if a woman is beating up a guy with her hands or an object as a bat for some reason we see it as less violence and/or in fact are willing to believe that the emotionality of women make them less responsible for their actions. If we as a society believes in full equality then we should view women who commit the same act as men in the same light

Whys it SO bad and malicious to call a black person "black" because thats what they are. Or if u call them "the oh so horrible N word" when i hear them call each other that ALL the time!!!! People call white people "white" and "cracker" and "hoes" all the time and we dont do anything but black people take advantage of their race i think. they even say words like that in their rap songs!!!! im not racist its just something ive noticed and im not trying to offend anyone i actually have a few friends of different races than me. all african americans as well i would like to hear your opinions....nice ones please.....

My family has the good cooks. Mamma and my Aunts get together, they cook the best food ever. Pasta, meats, breads,sauces, deserts...way better than any restaurant you could find. They'll stuff you like a pig,Joey!
I am 26, and I never went out with a girl that can cook like this( some of their mothers were also great cooks, though) I went to one girls house for a homecooked meal, and her idea of homecooked is one of those frozen banquet 2 pound meal boxes.
My younger cousins, and nieces almost show no interest in it.
I met this one girl online, she said she like Italian food...but her idea was going to olive Garden.
Are we losing the old style of cooking? I mean, I can cook...lots of us guys can cook...but nothing tastes better than a woman who loves you cooking . This goes for all women...they have a magic.
Before you ladies jump on me- I'm not chauvanist, I don't think you only belong in kitchen barefoot.

please help us with this university project for our Thesis.

According to Einstein, exponential growth will double 1% in 70 years.

This explains how our global population of 3 billion in 1960 doubled to 6 billion by 1999.

This experiment is to track that and have fun on this research project.

Alot of people say people in philly got accents..im from philly so i dont notice it..i know we say certain words differently but i dont kno if its a accent. some pople who dont kno assume we sound like people from new york but we dont. but people from otha cities think we got accents..so if you notice that we do, and your not from philly..can you explain to me what we sound like?

Our society is really into taking care of the body these days-drinking bottled water and eating organic, passing laws to make people be safer, going to the doctor for regular checkups, all that.
And, of course, we here on Yahoo Answers are using our minds! Most of us, anyway ;)
