Prisoners are already punished by having their liberty taken away. Cee they only show the good side of prison it does not be like that all the time. They aren't going to show people beating and raping each other in there. Some people get killed. They only show part of it. I think people in prison should get individual punishment in prison depending on their crime. A serial killer shouldn't get the same treatment as someone who stole a DVD player.

People are sent to gaol as punishment not for punishment. The punishment is deprivation of liberty. Within the prison system, prisoners can earn privileges and rights by behaving themselves. If you deny all vestiges of humanity, you create monsters who have no regard for others.

Prisons work on a system of mutual respect and trust despite what you might hear to the contrary. If the prisoners refused to cooperate, the prison could not work. Allowing rights and privileges gains the trust and cooperation of the prisoners.

They have waayyy to many I think. I was watching this show with my mom and It was about inmates and they were smoking cigarettes, cooking food and playing instruments...and they were all convicted of murder. I don't think that is the right punishment for murder no matter if they're in jail or not. If they are doing all that they might as well be free.
