When My Steve committed suicide, I was unemployed. Then I went to a training program, but could not get a job. Then I went on disability. I was depressed, gaining weight, sitting at the computer all day, mostly answering questions on Answers.

Finally, I realized that I had to leave that apartment in Santa Cruz County, California, and move somewhere less expensive. I put a question on my Yahoo 360 page, "If I decide I need to relocate, where should I go?" Several people made suggestions, but the one that stood out was St. Louis, Missouri. The best combination of lower cost of living and pleasant lifestyle. So here I am in St. Louis.
