I think that if we lived only to say 50 years old max, then we wouldn't be running around committing crime, doing bad things for self profit, hurting the ones we "are supposed to love"...like family.

I, myself, like my cats more than most of the adults in my family cause they don't have affairs, get caught, and then end up living on your sofa for a year!!! (Although I forget to clean the litter box thats next to the sofa on purpose-lol). I know my pets only have so much time so I tend to treat them better.

We only regret not spending time with relatives only after they die, and take them for granted while they are alive, assuming they'll be around till they are 100, so it's okay if I tell them "I wish you were dead!!!" every once and a while.

Also cheating, adultery, and any other type of "greener grass on the other side" type of behavior.

I'm really tired of seeing disgusting and degrading shows like Flavor of Love,I Love New York,and soon to be airing Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School.I think they are completely degrading and pointless.Today trashy seems to be a good thing.Because of my age I feel like I can't do anything to stop shows like this.Am I the only one who doesn't like these shows?It makes me sad and sick to see more and more shows plus music videos like this.I would expect more people to boycott or protest about this.Its just getting worse.I don't understand why people are into this Paris Hilton and 50 Cent stuff,so please enlighten.

i'm going to school full time majoring in pre-dental, minoring in biology and planning for dental school for my grad school.... i served 4 years in the air force, scored in the highest range on the ASVAB, and graduated top in my class in my technical training, basic training, and airman leadership school. after a 4 year tour, i was slated to pin on E-5.... but i got out to go to school and fulfill my dream of being a dentist. I got this job at a dental clinic working part time to help ofset what the GI Bill doesn't pay... you wouldn't believe the jerks that come in and talk down to me because i'm not as important as they think they are.... why do people do this? why do they act like this?

why do so many black people justify being poor, and all other problems on the fact that their ancestors were slaves?
I understand that when the black slaves were freed, it was very hard to become something great (rich and prosperous)....but the fact is that if you apply yourself it is possible.

Look at the Jews....their ancestors went through brutal brutal torture...and yet....so many of them are rich, prosperous, and extremely influential on society, politics, and science.

so...why cant those black people accept what happened....and move on??

believe me, i am not racist....i love people of all races......but it seems to me that many blacks just love to justify a crappy living situation due to the fact that their ancestors lived in slavery.

omething no one cares. its annoying how black people are always pulling the black card and saying its because im black, white people made us salves, and all that and not one living black person in america has ever been a slave. if there ancestors were never enslaved and brought here they wouldnt live here and wouldnt have as many freedoms as they do now o would be poor in a 3rd world african country.

LOOK, i know people dont like jehovahs witnesses. and i personally dont care why. BUT what i do want to know is why people slander their name. i could talk about how some baptists bring snakes into the church for worship, how some "christians" are gay, and how catholic priest molest young boys but i dont. i respect their teachings and try not to stir up too much controversy. in fact im friends with many people who arent jehovah's witnesses. i may think their religion is wierd, but i dont focus on that. i try to focus on the person themselves. why do some hypocrites on this site fail to do the same?

i've noticed on YA the racism going on here. my question is this. as black people (not all black people, only the ones that feel that "whites" should pay) do you think people will have a possitve outlook on you for feeling that way? how is that a positive way of constucting your race? and do you really feel that people born in the past 30 years should pay for their ancestors? is it right to pay for someone elses sins? when most of us don't even know our ancestors or what they did, who they even are? personally my ancestors as far as i know two generations ago they were living in Russia.

or should people. put the past behind them and grow and learn from it? and seperate themselves from hate in there hearts form a bunch of horrible dead white people

Does the ignorance of people make you want to give up on educating them, or even being on Yahoo! amswers at all?

It saddens me to hear people ranting about a topic that they dont fully understand, or are pulling their opinions from what they learned in middle school. Why don't they take some college level courses about culture and society, about africanamerican history, about modern politics. I wish you had to have a certain degree of education in order to make comments here.

Sometimes I feel like giving up and letting people believe the lies they are telling themselve.

So i am at a cross roads right now in my life. I enjoy moving and i thrive on change and i just moved like 3 months ago and i am already thinking of moving again. However i just had an interview for a job that i might want, that pays well too. So i don't know if i should take this new job if i am considering moving soon. I already have a full time job that pays ok. what would you do in my situation, take the new job if offered or stick with the one i got till i decide if i am going to move again. Thanks.

The same standards that apply toward Imus should also apply toward other men in our society like rap stars such as Ice Cube.As a woman I think it is deragtory, racist and should be banned from our society, those same standards in the case of Imus should be taken against some rappers too.That it is genralizing.

I would like to support the efforts of those willing to provide righteous alternatives to those victimised by the abhorrent prostitution and sex slave trade.
I would, and likely many others, like to know which charity/aid organisations are directly involved in strategies and pursuits to rescue people suffering from such circumstances and provide them shelter, food, protection etc?

Why are we as black sistahs gettin mad over something some old man said. Dont the rappers say the same stuff about us?? If R Kelly or Ludacris called us that we would throw our panties up on the stage!!!! No its not right what he said, but tell our brothers to stop calling us the same thing that Imus called us.
