Just wondering. It seems like less women these days want to get married, but most still want kids.

No one should have kids without the benefits of marriage. I know from personal experience on BOTH sides of this coin that kids don't like growing up in broken families. Find a good mate that will stick with you through thick and thin, then worry about having kids. Doing otherwise is selfish and not fair to the kids!

Yes, forget those old-fashioned notions about marriage, and then kids... that would be far too "normal"... People have thought for some time now, that "if I want to be a single parent, I can"... but now that they are aging and they have hardly anyone to help them in their old age, they are starting to think maybe "traditional family" does have some real strong points... Like if you get very ill, there's another person to help your kids, and you know where they'll be when you come out of the hospital, if you do. Why people are against family is confusing. I guess it's too much work, because they forgot the benefits.

My fiance and that i have been planning on a wedding ceremony in October of this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and in February we stumbled on out that i grow to be pregnant when I had already bought my gown. We determined to bypass the marriage as a lot as may instead, because that I in basic terms isn't gaining that a lot weight. i imagine being married is extra major than having children, because that traditionally you've youngsters once you're married. i comprehend i'm variety of doing it somewhat out of order, yet we were planning on getting married besides. The being pregnant wasn't planned (as in, we weren't actively attempting), yet we weren't attempting to avert it from taking position. We knew what might want to ensue, and we were prepared for it.

Well, marriage is a union of two people who vowe to spend the rest of their life together. People are the ones who made it neccassary to have a legal document to prove marriage. So, I can see why some women don't want the legal hassle of today's version of marriage.
As far as having children goes, it's instinct to procreate--it's how our species has survived (thrived is better term) so long.

Some may argue that marriage is instinct, which hasn't been proven, but having children (procreating) has been proven as instinctual. So, yeah, people are more like to want children whether they are married or not, for simple fact that it's instinct.

I think getting married is more important because after you get married you can also have children which is awesome but if you have kids and don't get married its not bad but it's better to get married first I think it's only my opinion anyway.
