I'm really tired of seeing disgusting and degrading shows like Flavor of Love,I Love New York,and soon to be airing Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School.I think they are completely degrading and pointless.Today trashy seems to be a good thing.Because of my age I feel like I can't do anything to stop shows like this.Am I the only one who doesn't like these shows?It makes me sad and sick to see more and more shows plus music videos like this.I would expect more people to boycott or protest about this.Its just getting worse.I don't understand why people are into this Paris Hilton and 50 Cent stuff,so please enlighten.

I totally agree with you. Apparently, Flavor of Love comparable to Bachelor spawned these two shows I Love New York (she ultimately chose Tango) and Charm School. According to Host, Monique for charm School ;it's all about self-esteem and if the drop-outs are team players or not. Of course, the prize money of $50,000 ain't bad at all. A lot of TV reality shows of poor quality are cropping up. Most of them are trashy and campy.
It doesn't seem to be worthwhile watching TV anymore. And even movies. It's all for the hyped up ratings. The more outrageous, the more the public clamor to it . It is a complete bombardment to my good sense and sensibilities. It's no small wonder I tend to listen more to music. Even at that, most lyrcis to music esp rap and heavy metal are incomprehensible and distasteful.
And you know what? To increase public interest, these TV shows also provide contests and prize monies to be won if you watch the show and answer the trivia questions. therein.
You can ban them by writing letters to the networks. However, I don't think they'll listen. After all, we are a minority against the capitalistic and altogether sensationalistic majority rule of all facets of the medium of entertainment. Besides, life is too dreary without the plight of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.
The world of fantasy and great imagination is a much too great temptaion to resist. Sometimes, you find some redeeming value to them as actual lessons in life. or topics of interests. in conversations.

I haven't heard of most of those shows, but I watched tonight for the 1st and last time something called "From the Underbelly"? not sure of name. Anyway it started out real cute doing a pregnancy test, then got racier and less moral as it went along. Women kissing on TV, a recent woman masterbating on TV,[Courteney Cox]. It's all too much. We need to really be careful with TV viewing, movies, music, entertainment. The devil is getting his last digs in before his time is over!!
