I find it's a nice thing, but causes more segregation and crime, because of these cliques, they can be very secretive on what they do, they can be doing anything really and most people wouldn't know about it

And what do you think of George W. Bush, America's part in Iraq, and the constant bickering between American political parties?

Are there any similarities between American and Canadian politics?

I'm just wondering. (All I know about Canada is from watching the Trailer Park Boys!!!)

So has no one else wondered why it is we men, and more to the point White men dont have any support groups, or national organizations, or ANY special interest groups looking out for our rights? I mean hell, even on yahoo... theres a womans studies group, but where is the mens studies group?

White men are now officially the minority...we are outnumbered by women, by minorities, and by every single other socio economic group. Women have NOW and other womes organizations, they have petitioned government until now they have more rights than we men do, yet they still feel they are the minority, yet we who are truly the minority have absolutely no support structure, no groups to speak for our rights... Why is that? Do we feel so guilty that we're willing to punish ourselves?

I love American's because they are so much better than us boring English people! They have a better sense of humour, make better movies, better music taste, and their women are much better looking than our's. What other reason's are thier for American's being mile's ahead better than the English?

I know Alaska has a high cost of living in comparison with other states and there are other issues like the winters, but I have read about Alaska from books about its beauty of nature, so much to do, and individualism(as far as socially concerned), because where I live groupthink is the rule. I was surprised to hear many Alaskans didn't want people from other states moving to Alaska, and dissapointed. I know there have been some criminal elements who have made caused problems in Alaska,but what I would like to know is if Alaska would be more welcoming to someone like myself: doesn't think with the group but rather independantly, looking for a good place with friendly people, someone who would like to be there after college in fields such as accounting or weather, who loves the snow(and willing to face temperatures below zero to enjoy it.)?

I don't get it! I work hard. I treat my wife right. I love my parents. I pay my taxes. I take **** from every person that lives and breathes on this planet and I still wind up getting screwed! I've lost two, soon to be three, jobs. Why?!? I'm a performer, I care about my job and believe in what I'm selling. A supervisors friend wants a job and they want to give him my territory so I'm out. I just got out of wedding debt and I'm going to be up to my ears in bills! What did I do to God to be treated so horribly. Every time I think I'm ahead, I get my *** handed to me completely unexpected. My parents take advantage of my good nature constantly and never thank me for my sacrifices even thought I've thanked them for theirs. What did I do wrong?!? What am I doing wrong?!? Should I just say "to hell with it" and start treating people as bad as they treat me? I really am starting to hate everything and everyone.

im not sure. i think if they informed the person they were under 18 and they were contacted by the person then okay yea its great. but if nbc contacted the person first and didnt tell them they were under 18 that just seems like they are trying to get folks into trouble. i dunno how do internet stings work?

Hello. I was just wondering why people believe what they believe about Harry Potter. Whether they like it or not and why. I personally like them and find nothing immoral in them. We just got a new exchange student. I don't know if he's really shy or just doesn't want to be here. he's 16 and from japan.
All other previous exchange students would try to jump into conversations as much as possible to practice their english and have their electronic translators beside them at all times. They kid won't talk unless we start a conversation and still tries to answer only yes or no. I've next to never seen him use his translator. My friend had to pick us up last week and he wouldn't even talk to my friend until my friend introduced himself, there he only said his name.
This student virtually waits to be served. We told him he has to worry about breakfast. My brother and I overslept one morning and he just sat at the table waiting for us to bring out the plates, bread, PB&J. We had already showed him where everything was. he didn't even make himself a PB&J sandwich until we opened all the jars.
How do I help this kid?
