Why is that employers can't ask about religon but people can use religon not to do their jobs.?

Like the whole not selling the pork thing at the Target

I agree with you. It does not make sense to me. I can understand not discriminating due to religion, but I think that in some cases it needs to be known

People loose their jobs because of their religion, sometimes- makes them leary.
