no- it doesn't. What DOES explain global warming is the excessive amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. There is TONS of data to back it up. Humans need to stop dodging the blame, and start fixing the problem. As you would learn in any astronomy, the our distance to the sun would have to be changed dramatically (we're talking thousands of miles) to affect the global climate. What determines how hot it is, and regulates the seasons is the tilt of the axis. This is why the southern hemisphere has opposite seasons- they're tilted toward the sun at opposite times

We probably do orbit closer, but it's on such a small scale that it's really marginal and probably does not affect us at all, it will take a few million years to get a good assessment of that idea. Global warming is definately due to C02 and other gasses trapping the suns heat in our atmosphere.

NO friend. The reason behind global warming is simple......we are destroying the protective elements of our own atmosphere with the noxious gasses produced by cars, chem plants, and other industrial wastes.

This destruction is allowing greater quantaties of UV A & B rays to affect the planet's surface, creating higher overall temps on a regular basis.

Actually the Earth gets further from the sun every year, and the sun gets smaller.
