Drugs that grow "naturally" on this planet. I'm not an advocate for drugs and no longer use them (been there, done that eons ago). But the so-called "War on Drugs" isn't working and the "victims" of our legal system is costing us billions because of it. I think some should be legalized and taxed heavily, much like tobacco is now, and while they are at it tax alcohol more heavily. The lobbyists for the alcohol trade should have to compete as hard as the rest of the special interests groups. Oh, they should illegalize lobbying, too.

My philosophy on the law is that it should protect minors in all situations and protect adults from the negligent or malicious actions of other adults. The law should not protect adults from their own negligent actions. However, the state should not meddle in the internal affairs of the family, the church (all religious institutions), the community, or business so long as the "world at large" outside the family/church/community/ etc was not affected by the internal actions. Therefore:

-- I would repeal all helmet and seatbelt laws for those over the age of 18.
-- I would legalize the sale and usage of drugs as long as it was regulated like alcohol and tobacco. As in, you couldn't sell pot to anyone under 21, and you couldn't drive or operate machinery if you were high. Employers could still fire you for drug use if it impaired your ability to do your job safely and effectively.
-- I would remove the ban on assault weapons, but stiffen the penalties if they were used in a crime.

I would illegalize:

-- Abortion and embryonic stem cell research. Humans from conception should be considered minors under the law.
-- Declawing cats, "puppy/kitten mills," and "backyard breeders" not registered with the American Kennel Club, the Cat Fanciers' Association, or any other breed registry.
-- Unwarranted wire tapping (i.e. the Patriot Act)
-- Early release for child sex offenders, especially repeat offenders
-- Capital punishment

Legalize stem cell research and cloning. Or rather provide funding for them with government dollars.

And marijuana. So what if it makes people stupid? So long as they don't impinge on the civil liberties or health and safety of other people while they're doing it (punish them if they do), go for it. Nature made it, and it happens to be pleasurable when properly ingested.

I guess the common one people will say is marijuana but i'm not a big fan of that because of how stupid people act when they are high on it. I think we should legalize gay marriage and make it illegal for people to flaunt their hatred and ignorance in public.

illegalize organized religion

illegalise whale and dolphin killing and cutting of the rain forest

and i would somehow illegalise people who are too stupid to realise that by illegalizing abortion they would create a huge problem of abandoned children, murdered babies, couples forced into marriage and ended up hating eachother, resulting in wife beatings, families too poor to support 8 children and ending up dying of hunger, a rocketing up number of unemployed people, homeless people, teenage single mothers and so on.
