the sound of someone RIPPING paper?

My co-workers (too lazy to get up and walk over to the 'communal' shredder) sit at their desks all day RIPPING pieces of paper into strips (yeah, like that's really gonna 'erase' any identifiable information on that patient's medical records!)

so I sit in my cubicle trying to work, while all day long.... when I least expect it.... RIIIIIPPPPPP
RIIPPPPP
RIIIPPPPP

so very annoying

like fingernails on a chalkboard


one day....
I'm taking them all out.

the big tv screens they put in THOSE stores that just advertise their store brand products!

As if there wasn't enough NOISE in the infernal hell hole already!

And it's not like we're not already bombarded by hundreds if not thousands of advertisements, endorsements, paid political ads, etc. etc. etc.

Brand names will soon be plastered over every conceivable surface on the planet. I weep for the future.

But for right now, I want to take a baseball bat to those effing advertising tv monitors which are popping up on every aisle of every grocery store and are quickly becoming unavoidable! Damn! I needs groceries!

I am married and I have a wonderful husband. We have our ups and downs just like every couple. I recently went back to work after a 2 year hiatus(?) and there is a younger man there. I work with him closely everday. I have developed a major crush on him. I think that he knows, although I haven't said one word to anybody about it. But, I cannot stop thinking about him. I feel bad for fat people, they are always getting dogged for being fat. America needs to leave them alone. Being fat and happy is better than starving yourself to look like a toothpick. Who wants to look like a toothpick of all things? I would much rather look like a porkchop smothered in gravy or a big expensive t-bone anyday

Why is it always considered to be the fault of men? women have control over their wombs & the choice in whether to have children or not is geared towards females.

Isn't this is just another excuse to bash & blame men??

When the whole feminist doctrine has been saying for years that men are not needed and single parent families without male influence are just as valid, why should it suddenly all be the fault of men yet again?

Im in my mid 30's ...I remember when i was a little girl everyone knew everyone else on their blocks. I can still remember neighbor's names from when i was ten yet i'm lucky to know maybe 4-6 families on my street now. When did we get so self involved? What happened to saying good morning? What happened to a sense of community? Does anyone else think about this?

We continue to watch what they show when the fact is no one cares about Anna Nicole Smith.. Who was she? WHat has she done to be a Great American.... Why do we watch biased media? Why some Swedes think that there's not much to offer in Sweden? I ask this question because I've been to Sweden and I find that the Country is peaceful and delighting. However, before going there, a few of my swedish friends keep telling me not to come since they think that there's not much to offer in Sweden. This kind of thought is also echoed by some articles I found on the net. So, I just want to know why Swedes don't think highly of their country.

Then why doesn't our country have the right to be religious and preserve our culture- why does it have to be secularized? I think Asians have better moral and family values (Japan for example) and I personally think we should try to be more like them instead of secularized Europe- whose families are falling apart and crime rates are higher than ever. I'm not saying all Americans have to be religious, but at least stop trying to turn this into a communist country where we can't even practice our faith in the name of "political correctness".

Why do censors insist we should not be exposed to swearing and sex and stuff like that.
Swearing:

It's not big, it's not clever, but everyone does it. Little Jimmy probably hears more swearing from his parents than when he picks up an Eminem CD.

Violence:

Take a tour of South London and then tell me it shouldn't be televised.

Sex:

Everyone does it sooner or later (most cases sooner). Why should we all live in ignorance until someone says we're 'old enough to know'. By then we've probably all got about 50 kids we don't know about.
