Then why doesn't our country have the right to be religious and preserve our culture- why does it have to be secularized? I think Asians have better moral and family values (Japan for example) and I personally think we should try to be more like them instead of secularized Europe- whose families are falling apart and crime rates are higher than ever. I'm not saying all Americans have to be religious, but at least stop trying to turn this into a communist country where we can't even practice our faith in the name of "political correctness".

Lol, if us Japanese were so moral, then why do we have the highest suicide rate among developed nations?
ps. To the girl above me:
No, Japanese folks aren't secular. Although our nation is technologically advanced, many of us are still quite religious.
And you DO know that the Chinese are barely Communists anymore right?

in our country, we have the right to freedom of religion, meaning we all get to practice the religion of our choice freely. this does not give any one religion the right to foist its beliefs on all others, and take over the government. by the way, this is strictly prohibited by the "separation of church and state" that is clearly outline in the Constitution of the United States of America. this makes the USA a free Democracy, not a Communist State, in which no religion can be practiced at all, ever. And since you brought it up, Japan is not a religious state either - they are also a secular Democracy without a state enforced religion.

If you wish to live in a Theocracy, instead of a Democracy, then by all means, move to Iran.

Japan allows multiple religions. Most of the crime issues in europe are due to financial issues, and have nothing to do with religion or lack thereof.. The US does not say you can't practice christianity, just that you cant use public funds to push a single religion over others.

It isn't a right, it is an extreme lack thereof. The US was founded on freedom of or from religion. That's what happens when you live in a multicultural society. Everyone is free to worship as they choose, not as they are told.
