Hi im due to visit my thai girlfriends family for the first time soon, i will be the first man she has taken home.
She has told me that there is practically no foreigners in her village.
Im just wondering if there is anybody out there who has a thai girl or used too, and has visited a thai family before.
I want to know what should i expect, should i give them gifts?
I know it is alot different from england.
So if there is anyone out there who has experienced this and could lighten me on what to expect then i would be gratefull.
Please only people who have done this or no what there talking about.........

What's your most embarrassing moment?
Here's mine:
It was the first day of 6th grade, and I had just gotten my food at lunch. I saw were my friends were sitting and I was walking over to them. All of a sudden, I realize that I'm falling! Turns out, I tripped on this kid's bookbag. The food that I was carrying (pizza and a milk box) hit the floor (thank god it didn't hit me), but the pizza sauce splashed on my face and hair. It was soooo embarrassing because everyone got out of their seat and just started laughing and pointing. So what I do is just clean myself up with a napkin and eat my lunch with my friends. That was my most embarrassing moment ever, and my friends still remember it after 4 years. That was the worst day of my life and it wasn't a good way of starting out Middle School. Can you top it?

I got a call the other day and the person over the phone asked my race and I said Hispanic and he said that was my ethnicity, he said my race was Latin...
I thought ethnicity was related to your nationality-origin and race with your skin color. Now, I got totally confuse!
Can you help me? How do you understand the difference between race and ethnicity?

My five pet peeves are: (1) people who chew gum and make it pop so loud you can hear it over 3 feet away You know what I mean!

(2)people who smoke cigarettes and then throw the butts on the floor no matter where they are!

(3)people who follow too close behind your car with their brights on!

(4)People on cell phones talking so loud you can hear what their conversation is about. NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW

(5)People in stores that let their children run around with no control They push the carts into you Instead of the mother controlling the children the children control the mother They use an ear-splitting scream when Mom does not buy what they want

Anyone else hate using public restrooms, especially when doing #2 or #3? I feel uncomfortable and disgusted when using it in general but I get in and get out. I prefer the comfort of my own home and letting all hell loose without being embarrassed about it. But hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Concerning the Tim Hardaway issue... in my opinion he is the one who shouldn't belong to the US or elsewhere worldwide. Homophobics shouldn't be having a place in our society. No matter how much you agree or disagree with gay people there s somethng that is above all...... RESPECT. He should be kicked out the basketball business for life!!!!!!
