I was very shy in school too, but i would not change anything...I got into some rough times (everyone does), lost and gained friends from time to time, but how my life ended up so far i guess I would change nothing or else I wouldn't be where I am and i would have never of met my boyfriend if I didn't go through all of the changes and all of the changing friends.
i think i would have participated more and stood up for myself more if i were to change anything, because that would take away some of my long lasting mental scars (i hate holding grudges)

Not at all.
I always regret, and I try to be better the next day.
I don't think we can be sure that we would make a better life if we had it again. Each individual has only one life here to prepare for the eternal life to come. And the requirement is not to achieve anything here, except to be better than himself in the previous breath. If his last breath is good, his next life is good. If his last breath is bad, his next life is bad.
If you have no clear idea about what is good, please concentrate on learning about it. For example, life is good, death is bad; love is good and hatred is bad; knowledge is good and ignorance is bad...Then make more efforts to assure that our last breath is good.

I would have liked to try to find some self confidence sooner, not allowed myself to be walked on. But hey it's never too late to make a change I guess.
