Concerning the Tim Hardaway issue... in my opinion he is the one who shouldn't belong to the US or elsewhere worldwide. Homophobics shouldn't be having a place in our society. No matter how much you agree or disagree with gay people there s somethng that is above all...... RESPECT. He should be kicked out the basketball business for life!!!!!! That would be a great lesson for him. All my love and support to every human being in the world who knows how to respect others. Lídia from Barcelona (Spain).

Okay, so when he made those remarks, he did admit that he was homophobic and just as a person has a right to be gay, he has a right to be homophobic. Unfortunately for him, he did not think about his comments and said things that really should have been kept to himself. This is probably WHY he apologized. He wasn't sorry that he is a homophobic - just sorry he opened his mouth and spoke without pre-thinking the content. No matter who or what a person is, we all deserve respect.

I seriously doubt he's really sorry. He apologized because his lawyer told him to. However, it won't do him any good, his name will be poison from now on, and no advertiser will ever ask him for an endorsement. I agree with you completely. What someone thinks in the privacy of their own head is thier business, but there are lines you don't cross in public. The guy's an idiot.

This is like trying to un-fire a gun...you can't take the bullet back, and it's probably going to do some damage. I agree that respect is the key in any situation dealing with people, whether you agree with their lifestyle or not.

Si, mama!
Well, let me tell you, I thought he WAS kicked out of plenty. And I doubt anyone will pick up where he left off.
He's not sorry, he's sorry for himself.
Let's see him do a Saturday Night Live skit where he kisses another man and prove he's sorry.
No?
Well, don't you worry, lidia, it's all good then.
He's already an outcast.

Damage? Hardaway doesn't like homosexuals, it's ok. A majority of people all over the world don't like homosexuals. If you like yourself, who cares what others think or say?
