1. In college do the deaf have to take foreign languages?
2. I'd assume so, but do deaf people dream in sign?

I know that the majority of deaf people in america use ASL that wasn't my question. i guess what i meant was do they learn the way people sign like in france and stuff? or do they only learn the written part? If a hearing person learns another language they lear the language and how to write it... so would they teach french sign language at a deaf school? or would they teach spoken french (written)? (ASL is not english. it uses different grammar just like any other language.) And what if the deaf person isnt going to a deaf college? I know of several deaf people who go to my hearing college...are they still required to learn a spoken language?

Oh and to all you who respond " oh, speak up i cant hear you" this is really rude and i'd imagine insulting to the deaf community... deaf people are deaf.. not blind.

I dont understand why people seem to think this is such a horrible quesiton... I'm in classes to become an interpreter. and am really interested in deaf culture and tradition. It's a question out of curiosity. I'm not trying to be rude. I'd really like it if a truely deaf person could answer these questions... seriously.
