Whatever happened to the days where, if you posed for a picture you were suppose to smile, now the meaner you look in your pic the better(especially with rap and rock stars), when people smiled as they walked by one another, now I am afraid to even look at some people, people complimented each other not insulted one another on a regular basis (that's why we have no more Yahoo board), shows on TV were centered around family life not family disfunction . There was good and bad news during the nightly broadcast now nothing but bad news (everything in the world is not bad). People just arent nice anymore...why??

What is everyone elses take on this?

In comparison to other Rich countries I have visited, it feels quite poor (transport, cost of living, healthcare, education etc...). People who do my job in other countries have a much bigger home than me. Are we being robbed? And if so, by whom. Is it because all the money in the economy goes to city fat cats in their bonuses and then they are able to buy all the property and then rent it to normal people? Do I have to work for city scum to be comfortably off?

Actually I know some people that played golf with Nowak. Everything was fine till she drove her cart 900 yards ahead and tried to kidnap one of the golfers.

Actually with all the psyche exams NASA does on a constant basis for astronauts, Nowak getting a restraining order didnt raise a red flag?

For the last 2 years there has been a man from Jamaica hanging out on the porch across the street all day, every day. We live in an apartment building near Central Park West in Manhattan, and he just stands there in all weathers all day, drinking coffee and hanging out. Is he a drug dealer? What is up with this guy?

He wears sunglasses and an orange bandanna around his neck. We call him "The Looker".

Yesterday in England, two males were found guilty of rape over the internet. They were sentenced to 27 years in jail.
Although no rape occurred, the judge concluded that because of the two mens' conversation in an internet chatroom, and the fact that they PLANNED the rape, they were both guilty of the crime.
The judge discounted one of the male's LOL, internet speak for laugh out loud, and took the men at their word.
It's got me thinking: could you be found guilty of murder over the internet, without actually lifting a finger?

Truth be told none of us is immune to getting locked up. We are all just one incident away from it. I'm not saying that I plan on doing something to land me in prison but dang people mess up and deserve a second chance. Anyone who thinks that they are superior to someone who is locked up (and I don't mean murderers and molesters and people like that) is mistaken. They are people too and need love and affection and not to be thrown away. They make mistakes and are paying for them. Ask yourselves and be honest about it, if you had been caught for every wrong thing you ever did would you be locked up to?

Ever since 9\11 more americans convert to islam. What do think of this? because some think they are just deluded, stupid, and lost to do such thing, although they got the same education, culture, and traditions as all other americans. I know about an ex-model and her boy friend who converted to islam lately who said people were shocked that they did such a thing? Why? just curious...

I want to make plans for my husband and I today, but it's always the same ole thing every time we go out. Usually it's dinner and a movie, sometimes we go bowling (rarely) and go shoot pool. There is nothing to do here...we have a zillion restaurants and nothing else to do. Any suggestions? I know you do not know where I live, I'm just wondering what else is there to do on a date? We both want to get out of the house, and do something, and we DO NOT want to spend another day lazing about on the couch watching freakin movies.

Before you get violation-happy, this is a serious question looking for serious answers.

I don't understand, exactly, why black people are called "African-Americans", when, in fact they live in the United States. In Canada, are they called African-Canadians? I understand that the so-called African-Americans' ancestors came from Africa, but MY ancestors, as a "white" person, came from Poland.

Does this make me a "Polish-American"? Not exactly, right? I'm simply referred to as "white."
And many "Asian-Americans" are just as white as me.

Why do we always have to add the "-American"? Why can't we all just be American?
