Yesterday in England, two males were found guilty of rape over the internet. They were sentenced to 27 years in jail.
Although no rape occurred, the judge concluded that because of the two mens' conversation in an internet chatroom, and the fact that they PLANNED the rape, they were both guilty of the crime.
The judge discounted one of the male's LOL, internet speak for laugh out loud, and took the men at their word.
It's got me thinking: could you be found guilty of murder over the internet, without actually lifting a finger?

This sounds completely insane. It is "Minority Report" come to life.
I'm all for a pre-emptive strike against sexual predators but this is as crazy sounding as this nonsense in football, where a penalty is awarded because someone "intended" to foul, without making contact.

I can only assume that psychologists analysed the conversations of these two men and concluded that there was little doubt that they were for real.

Indeed, we seem to be constantly arresting "terrorists" in the UK and US before they have actually committed any crime. But this new case could mark a key change in the way the internet is viewed.

Oh look! There is SMD: The Return. Does this little boy think he is some kind of epic film? He really has got tickets on himself hasn't he. I'd love to break it off and stick it in his mouth so that he could suck it himself!

i'd say no because the fellow nevertheless made the alternative on their personal. He dedicated suicide, the bullier did not rigidity him to devote suicide. chance are, countless folk who devote suicide have someone in recommendations who would have affected their determination to finish that, so there is not any way i might want to make certain with the flexibility to carry them legally responsibile. no longer to instruct the fellow isn't any longer round to state their side both.
