The minimum wage of where I live is $7.00 Canadian. I personally think that minimum wage should be calculated like this: If you work full-time (aka 40h/week), all year round, with 2 weeks vacation, how much would you have to earn per hour to make the poverty line in your community. Where I live, $7.00/h still puts you around 10 000 BELOW the poverty line. I am also really bad in economics, so maybe I am just ignorant to the way things work.
Question A) Where do you live, and how much is the minimum wage there?
Question B) How much do you think the minimum wage should be?
Question C) How should minimum wage be calculated

Feel free to answer any or all of these~!

Would you consider a divorce a more bitter lesson, than say, a serious and steady bf-gf relationship that broke up?

I have been trying to get support for a suicide awareness and prevention group, but I run into obstancles which are people like what the popular vote is. Suicide awareness and prevention is not popular and therefore does not get alot of attention. Why doesn't the World or at least the US care about how many people we lose to suicide in a day?

Some people can't seem to disagree with others except by insulting them. If you want to change someone's opinion on a topic, try to understand where they are coming from first, then explain respectfully why you disagree. I suspect that many people come from a past of hurt and rejection, then being self-appointed police for the politically correctness movement gives them lisence, they think, to attack people. It just makes things worse though. And those same people, if you disagree with them, call you hateful and a bigot. It's a double standard and it'll come back to bite you some day.

Ok I know a black guy that wants to date me, he is soooo into me, so anyway its not that I dont like black guys, its just that they dont matter to me, so anyway hes wealthy (a basketball player) I think I would rather deal with him than say, a average earning white guy.

Do you think that there is a difference between being dramatic, as in being strongly expressive about something? This kind of dramatic I'm looking for is different from the dramatic describing drama ("I have dramatic friends; they always have problems with their boyfriends").

ALSO, can somebody specify a difference between being dramatic (not in the acting/theater sense, again) and a drama queen? Lay it out in black and white?

For example, if you say, "(insert race) are the loudest race, but that's only because I've experienced it myself."

Is it still called a stereotype if it's from experience? Or are we not allowed to share our experiences just because we're scared to hurt people?

Do you think that being an Evil Overlord would be a good career choice? It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours.

However... every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. B arbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time.

Is there a book about this? Something like 'Evil Overlording For Dummies', perhaps?

It's an herb provided by God just as all things on the earth are. These things were given to God's creatures to use as they see fit. They can tax it, but to ruin lives and place a burden on the rest of society in order to incarcerate those who partake in the herb is morally bankrupt.
God will not judge those who disrupt his providing for his people kindly. And you can bet that HE (whether Allah, Jesus, God or whatever your spirituality prays to or calls the Creator) will have harsh words for those that have ruined lives and destroyed His people for the sake of a misguided racist war on His herb.
I will not support any candidate that does not push for a 100% amnesty to all those incarcerated on marijuana charges and the elimination of all criminal penalties associated with marijuana except driving under the influence or otherwise placing people in danger through use. As with the harm associated with tobacco, the lies associated with the prohibition on marijuana have been laid bare.

Keeping in view of the increasing crime in day to day activities i feel something somewhere is wrong and people should realise.

i remember seeing exhibits at the last world's fair that was held in manhattan about the future. much to do was about women wearing disposable dresses (mod style of course, back then) made of paper. and a great number of themes were all about the upcoming "leisure society" that all americans would enjoy in years soon to come.

since then, since somewhere in the early '60s, the population of the planet has skyrocketed, mostly in third world countries. we lose jobs to those people by buying items that our companies contract out to make. back in the early '60s, ever since the end of WWII, there was a sense of pride in the goods that we in our own country made: we bought items that were advertised as "made in america," and citizens of our country bought houses at reasonable cost and raised their families in them even with mom staying home because by making and buying american, our economy soared.

so how is it that commercials show baby boomers up in the air in gliders, ...
