Do you think that there is a difference between being dramatic, as in being strongly expressive about something? This kind of dramatic I'm looking for is different from the dramatic describing drama ("I have dramatic friends; they always have problems with their boyfriends").

ALSO, can somebody specify a difference between being dramatic (not in the acting/theater sense, again) and a drama queen? Lay it out in black and white?

drama is the encompassing uhhh....drama. (I can't think of another word! Sorry!) Being dramatic is acting on the drama. So there can be all this built up drama (boyfriends, girlfriends, car trouble- whatever) and one has the CHOICE whether of not to be dramatic with that material
