I come from a small town in Northern Italy, where everybody is friendly and laid back. Living in NYC is a shocker to me! I have encountered the rudest people ever. I am extremeley polite and friendly and have been "slapped in the face" in numerous occasions. I also would like to mention that I have lived and traveled allover the world. Milan, Munich, Zuerich, Hamburg, Vienna Cape town and Paris. People in Paris are not very friendly either, but in a different way than New Yorkers. Have any of you had bad experiences in NYC?

Would love to hear other people's experiences or how it made them feel.

I grew up in an environment where all the women only had children and all the men worked in skilled trades. I feel like I'm sometimes venturing into unknown territory with no one to ask for directions.

so if you dont know goths are more devil worshiper like that load on the eyeliner and mascara but emos are like cutters and have serious EMOtional problems neither of them talk much but emo can be like christian and still be suicidal goths arent really the ideal christian at all. emos can be prep and still have issues and goths wear a lot of chains and black. which one are you more afraid of?

The signs and symptoms of the different emergency conditions and how these may differ in relation to an individuals age and for people from different ethnic groups? severe bleeding, cardiac arrest, shock, faints, epileptic seizure, choking, falls with potential fractures, burns and scalds, poisoning, electrocution, and substance abuse. How would these be treated according to age and ethnic groups.... any difference?

I've looked in books, asked in my school and looked on the internet but am not any closer to finding the info i need. Can anybody help.

salary of 150 euros a month or in the UK where the average salary is about £1333 per month before tax [ approx £16k] I think.

I ask as I have just returned from Mauritius and it is a truly beautiful island, the people are very, very welcoming and have no bitterness about us in the West having more than themselves.

The country has its problems mostly the fact that the wages paid to are abyssmal and it has no form of social security, but on the weekends I saw even the poorest of families going to the beach which was always nearby and just spending quality time together. The pace of life was slower and there was racial unity within the country despite the fact that African, Chinese, Franco-Mauritians, Hindus, Muslims and Chrisitians lived and worked side by side.... I asked the people that I met whether there was conflict within the communities and really there just wasn't...
The people were not well off but they really seemed to be a lot happier than us in the West...

Really just bloody popped out of nowhere while i was doing my purchasing assignment concerning e-commerce! What i mean is, for example, childhood stories always depict people buying stuff from people in a shop....what if they were re-written to the form of people buying stuff from machines that auto-replenish itself with modernized supply chain systems (not like robots) using RFID? Or for instance, kids read books online instead of reading storybooks etc.....

What do you think will happen? Will future generations be more receptive to technology? Will they forget the thread of humanity that exists in our childhood stories (I also understand that it depends on the author and how he writes it, but its just random thoughts!)?

Would you oppose such modernization?
Would you wanna live in such a world?
Would you tell your kids such bedtime stories?
Is it really bad for this to happen?

Dammit, i need to get back to my assignment!!!

I'm trying to come up with something over the top and fun to do for my sisters birthday. She will be 14 in December and we will be spending the weekend near the Mall of America. I am thinking about renting a limo but am not to sure where we should go once we have it. Does anyone have any fun and interesting ideas for a 14 year old? I get tired of people in the political section calling me and others on the opposite sides looney, idiots, crazy, etc and saying we shouild be killed, tortured, deported, shot, etc.
I have many timnes spent over two houirs at times trying to help people with heath problem etc. I have been told I have a heart of gold by dozens of people, I reared decent children and was a wonderful teacher, I help so many people, and give out of what little I have and of my time. I cared about my country..but when I come on here I am assaulted by people on the right with such viciousness at times, it becomes very upsetting. I know I am a sensitive person, but that sensitivity is what makes me empathetic and kind to others. Do you ever feel the world is in serious decline...maybe it's cause I am older that I rememeber a time when hate was not so prevalent in general society but when you get on here and on message boards, it seems people are so unkind. Is it because they forget
