I think what people lack these days are:
1. common sense
2. being able to make responsible choices in their lives
3. having respect for other people and/or their property
4. politeness and manners
5. selflessness.
These are the things that are missing from every soap, every advert, every film, every cartoon or kiddy programme, every newspaper story. We are bombarded with music, actors, newsreaders etc. who have an 'attitude problem'. Politeness is not 'in' and rudness, carelessness and stupidity rules. Rather than focusing on our looks and sex and stuff why don't we focus on advertising some manners? I could rant on and on and on but I don't want to bore you or the other Answers readers to tears.

Well if there was actually proper plus size models it would be great, how can they dress a size 10 women in clothes to advertise plus size clothing is beyond me.
Minus size models, very bad, a bad influence on the vulnerable kids out there who think its cool to be a stick insect.
What is normal today, not fat or thin and not much in between either, wish they would show women with curves and a figure on catwalks, its not hard to go and find them in the real world.
Kids grow up so fast so why waste money on designer clothes for them and thongs on kids is perverse, sorry.
I personally think 14 is about the right age to wear make up, but only light make up, to much too young isn't good for the skin or image.
What can we do to set examples today, the magazines do that and no one takes any notice of the people who do know what there talking about.
I have no idea how old I was when I stopped playing with my dolls sorry, but I do play with my niece and her dolls, I comb their hair and she dresses them up, generally in cocktail dresses as she loves evening wear, guess its better than thongs.

Again this is a sexualisation of children don't do it also mini skirts

Allow kids to be kids for as long as possible you have 18 years of being kids and 60 + of being grown up !
Haven't stopped playing with Dolls, nothing wrong with dolls..... although my wife dosen't liek it much and my 2 girls get fed up with me borrowing them ! lol

Plus size models are great-more Americans look like plus size models and not minus size models.
Minus size models are bad for tweens, teens and other young women. How many women actually look like that. Something else funny about all of those minus size models-they all say they eat a lot and just have a high metabolism. Hmmm, I'm not sure that I buy that from all of them.
If parents want to waste the money on designer clothes for kids who are going to out grow them before they even go out of style. But nice if you are the one getting the hand-me-downs :)
I can't think of any clothes that an 8 year old would be wearing that she would also need to wear a thong.
Makeup should be individualized with each girl and mom. I didn't start wearing makeup until I was about 15. However, my sister began wearing it about 12. Not because she needed to but because she liked to dress up.

good idea to have normal size women, but who decides what normal is?
good idea to show happy, confident, self-sufficient women of any size.
thongs for 8 year olds - not a good idea.
we should be setting an example that today's girls can do anything they want, and they should be able to stand up for themselves.
let's get rid off all the playboy merchandise for teenagers as well!
