I understand. Do you know where I can buy a god? I had a catalog once, but I can't seem to find it.

I think your sponsor meant you have to have the inner strength not only from yourself to want to help yourself but also from God. We are flesh and therefore daily we are tempted, we sometimes are unable to avoid giving in to temptations but we can reach out to others for help or go to the higher power of God who knows our hearts and temptations, if we trust Him and pray to Him and beleive in His power He can help us gain the strength to face any problems we may face.This can't be bought at a store and often its not a instant solution.

First of, I think you should be more serious about your recovery then you apparently are...and no, you will not get special powers but it will help you through hard times, which I know you will have a lot of those. A higher power means different things to all people...some seek religion, others spirituality, some may consider their families their higher power. You have to choose what fits you and feels comfortable to you. One thing it has to do is give you solace and peace and tranquility so that you may continue to fight your disease.
