is it me, or are the amount of youths hanging around on street corners gettin more and more? i'm 25, still young yes, but when i was 14/15 i was inside playing the computer. even the "thugs" werent out. it seems to me that they rome the streets looking for trouble (speaking from experience, after having my wing mirror ripped off twice by them) what can we do?

I am a guard/conductor on the trains. Most of the youngsters get on to go one stop without any money or just refuse to pay and don't seem to think that it is wrong. I won't throw them off but I would like them to think more seriously about their actions, if possible.

I have always believed that special meant exactly that, special, better than average. A highly intelligent person is special, someone who is selfsacrificing is special, a generous person is special, dinner at a nice restaruant is special, etc. Functioning at normal or below normal level isn't special.

It seems that many have sufficient capability and ample opportunity to be "smarter" ... but they seem to lack motivation to learn (acquire knowledge) more than just enough to "get by" ... are these people just simply comfortable with being "intellectually lazy"?

What is the difference? What do you think attributes to some being "lazy" while most are more "motivated"?

When the Japanese bombed us, there was wide spread violence against innocent Japanese-Americans. When Osama attacked us, there was wide spread violence against Muslims. After MLK JR was killed/Rodney King, there was wide spread violence against white folks.....The last example may not be as good as the first ones.

do you have american pit bull terriers as they are called in the UK they are a cross between a bull mastive and a staffardshire terrier i had one 17yrs ago but could not keep it because the law banned them in the UK and was just thinking if they still have them in the USA thank`s

Ok... so I was talking with my friend today and she rreally made me think... Why is there such a huge stigma about drugs.. .but not so much about alcohol?? I mean I personally am ok being around people who are drinking or me drinking myself, but I do not want to be around people who are smoking marijuana or cigarettes or anything... So she was asking me what's the real difference? they are both a drug... and I was thinking well you could start off with pot or something.. but it could move to harder drugs... but then again alcohol can lead to alcoholism... I dunno... so basically what makes alcohol and ok and drugs not ok? I have a strong stance against drugs, but am ok with alchol. is that hypocritical or what?! What do you think about drugs vs. alcohol?

Contacted out of the blues by someone that I barely know calling me names. This guys was always the bully type from what I know, I on the other hand prefer to stear clear of fighting. Do I just pretend I never got the message, or do I simply write back, Do I know you?

I really dont want any lectures about how much better a country or the world would be without it, as long as there are people, it's not going to happen,rightly or wrongly, so my question is to those who have no religion, which religion would you feel more comfortable living side by side with, and why?
