I'm a bit superstitious so if I see a penny on the ground and its tails up I leave it were it is as its bad luck, but if its heads up I pick it up and make a wish and pass it on to the first person I see, its supposed to be lucky doing that, passing your luck.

yes and i always do..i'm not sure if i believe in the superstition now though, it's just habit from being young, something i've always done. My daughter told off the other day for stopping and picking one up in front of some people...goddddd muummmmmm, your an embarrassment. i said the phrase to her just to cover my humiliation when i realised how poor i must have looked lol

although I'm not superstitious there are a few that linger on from childhood, the penny being one of them. I think most people no matter how logical in their day to day lives have at least one superstition, touch wood.

Yes, definitely. I have been able support (with wine)a family of 7 hungry children, plus the wife and a variety of animals on the gleanings from persistantly skenning the highways and byeways of our green and pleasant land.

Usually pick it up and then pass it along to my daughter, suppose to bring luck to you but dont really believe in it.
