Being racist is not against any law unless you take it out on someone, then it is a hate crime. So yes you have the right to be racist, but it is not very ethical.

Tough question, with three answers:

A)Does someone have the right to force you to think a certain way?

B)Are you willing to bow down to peer pressure and accept the "group think" of your accepted peer group?
IE- the KKK's unthinking hatred for other races, or perhaps like some of the hate groups in northern Idaho?

Flip side of this group would be "Celebrating Diversity"- same form of racist thinking with a political twist.

Was Randy Weaver racist?

C)If A or B is acceptable to YOU then the answer is "NO"

OR,,,

You could allow each person to maintain their own beliefs and have then make their own choices- right or wrong- and work thru it. God calls this "Free Will"

A person has right to do anything, as long as it isn't against the law or hurting someone. So perhaps a person has a right, but that doesn't mean that being racist is right. (Plus, what I said earlier about having rights to do anything as long as it isn't against the law or hurting someone, being a racist DOES hurt someone- the person or people you're being racist against. )

Yes. Just like a person can burn the american flag.
However they should not expect to be treated nice by the people they are racist of. Honestly, racism is such an ignorant thing. are we as a society that simple. Do people really belive that one race is better than another....to me racist people are insecure....

yes people have the right to surround themselves with the people they see as positive, unfortunately racism is usually based on first impressions just as anything else. If you see a group of black people when you are younger and they are dressed in "gang banger" clothing and making a scene...you obviously do not want to be associated with these type of people. You in turn form a negative opinion about that specific race, it may or may not continue into adulthood. It is a choice like any other choice. I don't believe people should act on these views so much, but being tolerant doesn't mean you have to like them.
