Ex Lodger has left DVD Player, Home Cinema Amp, TV, Speakers and assorted CD's and other bits and pieces in my house. He owes me a months rent anyway. I have told his parents stuff has been left but had no phone call back or contact of any sort. When does ownership pass of these items? How long must i wait? Can i throw them away or sell them? Whats the Legal Position?

If you really want to answer this question read on:

I saw a commercial recently that said, "Call this number for this fantastic free ringtone..." There was a long pause and I assumed they were going to play the ringtone, but I heard nothing.

I was watching Law & Order Criminal Intent last night and they were talking about ringtones that people over 30 can't hear. Something about the frequency being too high... People I'm only 29 and really don't feel like I'm old, but gosh... I couldn't hear anything on the commercial... hmmmmmmmm

#1 Has anyone else seen this commercial?
#2 Are they really using these types of ringtones on cells now?
#3 Does this make anyone else feel really old?

(PS it's not that I really care... I'm in my prime!)

the catch is i must spend it all, and can not keep it. I have $10,000 to spend in 24 hours, from 7am thurs to 7 am friday. I have to use it all. I can not buy stuff to keep, it must be a trip or party, and I must spend all 24 hours and all $10,000

OK I CANNOT GIVE IT TO CHARITY!! I ALSO CAN NOT KEEP THE MONEY OR ANY THING I PURCHASE WITH IT, I MUST SPEND ALL THE 10 GRAND, ALSO i MUST BE BACK HOME IN 24 HOURS, I LEAVE @ 7 AM THURS AND NEED TO BE BACK BY 7AM FRI WITH NO MONEY, SO I CANT FLY TO JAPAN OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, UNLESS IM BACK BY 7AM THE NEXT MORNING, also IF someone gives me a good idea, ill try to include you in this deal

I don't have an answer. But I thought of how many decisions we make now affect us for a long time to come.

It's like the older person you will (we hope) be is at the mercy of the relatively immature and ignorant person you are NOW!

I guess for myself i will have to say that I have not saved enough for my retirement, but i'm trying to make up for it now.

Steal my cigarettes? I work @ a hospital so alot of times when I go outside I only smoke 1/2 of my cig & leave it on the thing for later. But on MANY occassions people take it.

I know whos doing it, his *** sits in the lobby & watches tv all day, he goes out to the ashtray & takes butts out to smoke them, so I guess when he sees my 1/2 cigarette there he thinks "JACKPOT"! WTF!

Theres been others too that do the same thing, then theres the people that I think do rounds to all the local spots, hitting up the ashtrays for butts, one guy actually carries a plastic bag with him & pretty much empties the ashtray! That is so GROSS!

Anyways, its p*ssing me off that he keeps taking them, he knows they are mine. Should I say something to him?

you know that cig are really really addictive. and its really hard to quit. and people who dont smoke will say oh just quit its better forya anyways. welllllllllllllllll duhhhhhhhhhhh i know that already. its just convincing my brain that i need to quit.

if you dont smoke and dont understand what the smokers go through. plssssssss dont tell uus to just throw down the cigs. its not easy

why do people work at low income jobs like fast food resturants to get paid 6 dollars and hour when they can go to a temp. agency and get a pretty decent pay...yea its temporary but alot people do end up as permanent workers...and if not you can always keep going back to get a different job.

Hi There. The other day, myself and my husband were in the woods behind a modern day cemetery. In the woods, behind the modern day cemetery, was a very, very old cemetery. (Talking about 2 different cemeteries -one somewhat modern and one very old.)

Near-not on-the old cemetery-was a circle of bones. They were NOT human bones; they were very, very big. They looked like something from maybe an ox, a horse, or maybe a cow. They looked like possible femurs from a big animal.

It looks like they have been there for a while. It definatly looks they were placed there by human hands. (The bones were intricatly placed together.)

What does this mean or symbolize???

I see how guys make friends with other guys so easily...how they greet each other and are so inviting...but woman tend to be very judgemental about another woman before she even opens up her mouth...the jealousy I see in woman just because someone else might look better than them is ridiculous. Even in the work place i noticed how alot of women working together is nothing but bitching, complaining, and gossip.

Maybe alone or maybe find a traveling buddy. A trip to explore and find one's real self and purpose in life. Write a novel and tell the stories about the people she meets with illustrations by photography. Does a journey like this make a person or break a person? what's your take on this?
