Over recent years, we have seen general blame for problems leveled at all sorts other than just simply, uneducated or careless parents!! This goes back to subjects such as videos, dogs (yes the recent attacks), the internet, alchohol and general behaviour!!

Let me give an a couple of examples why I think parents need to be more responsible and take active interesting in what their children are doing:
1st) A couple of years ago I was in Game in Hanley and a woman was complaining that an 18+ game she bought for her 10 year old was unsuitable and shouldn't be sold, she was verbally abusing the shop assistant for this!!
2nd) More recently, an old friend of mine in a conversation was bemoaning the internet, "Half the time I have no idea what my kids are looking up on that thing. Some of the things on there are disgusting.", should her kids be on it if she doesn't understand it (Sorry Mich)..

So are a lot of these outcrys just scape goats for parents?

Mine is... Just an extra 5 Mins in bed... i never learn... it always ends up one hour... i now set the alarm clock an hour and a bit early... get up and make a brew! Cannot go without a brew!

answers), but I think he might be right...I was with a bf a while back and he got arrested and cuffed by a female cop while a male cop stood by and watched...I saw the whole thing....she was brutal...she twisted and I do mean womanhandle him and forcably twist his wrist behind his back and used some type of odd handcuff without chains...she applied them as tight as she could and he could not even turn his wrists...actually he had marks on them for days and some slight pain....what did she have to prove...there was no possible way he even had a chance to move or escape..and a male officer just stood there and watched the whole thing...I think they both thought is was funny...

I've heard the terms but I don't fully understand them. Are they two differfent words for the same thing? Or are they different?

I like a short-barelled 12-gauge pump shotgun with a pistol grip and "00" buckshot, and a trusty old Colt 1911 .45 with a laser sight.

I really wish Kids/teens could learn to not make the same mistakes that a lot of Adults have made with Drugs, Smoking, Money, Underage Sex and Pregnancy etc. Not sure what the answer is though as by their nature they want to try things for themselves . Shame that they look up to what turn out to be negative role models i.e. Pete Doherty, Kate Moss (there is a picture in one of the papers today with some white substance up her nose? alledgidly).
