I used to joke around that I thought deja vu happens because perhaps life repeats itself so many times that we begin to remember bits and pieces... but I've said it so many times that I think maybe it's a possibility.

It's always a surreal creepy feeling when it happens.

What are your thoughts?

I had this man who volunteered to train me. During the first ten hour session, he introduced me to all the partners and was constantly explaining things to me. He's good looking, kind, and I have to admit attractive, but I would never mix my building career with personal life and made sure I didn't show it. Near the end of the shift, we went back to headquarters where he had some things to do before he left. I stuck around to spend time with the other partners while everyone was finishing up work. My training-partner left so suddenly with barely saying goodbye, which seemed uncharacteristic. As I left the building with his partners, they were like "what was his rush all about" and then they told me he had a wife and kid on the way. I had no idea, I thought maybe he had a girlfriend at most, and out of all the talking we did.... he didn't mention them once!!
Now I have a bad gut feeling. I did't think I did anything wrong, but something's not right. what the hell could this be?

I just don't get why there are so many questions asked on here where the obvious answer is to call a doctor or some sort of professional, or the answer could be answered just by typing into the search engine yourself? I don't get it. Are people really this lazy and/or stupid?

how dumb could you be to not eat meat? it is a vital part of any nutritious meal, full of protiens too.
if i didn't eat meat, i'd turn up to be a retard, like most vegetarians.
Don't start with the same old free choice BS, you should be spanked for being a sissy, if i were mayor i'd make Vegetarianism a crime sentenced by death.

Do you think the UK is slowly heading down the pan? It seems to me, young and foolish though I may be, that our nations are on a one-way trip to the boneyard- and we are being made in to a laughing-stock.

In my opinion (and I hasten to add I am no expert), we need to re-nationalise all our services such as rail and water, which are currently nationalised or belong to foreign interests. We need to make life here more appealing to UK nationals and less appealing to unskilled immigrants, as, like it or not, it seems obvious half of our nations' problems stem from mass immigration of unskilled, unwilling foreigners.

In some respects we need to step back forty years to put right what has gone wrong...how many British car companies are there left? Forty years ago there were more than you could name. How many of our footballers are British?

Does anyone else agree with this line of thought? I do not mean to offend anyone but I'd like to hear from you!

Tracy Latimer ,( due to faulty hospital equipment which never warned of complications) was born with cerebral palsy from lack of oxygen. At the time of her death she was 12 years old with the mentality of a 3 month old and weighed 40 lbs. She had endured many operations and was in constant pain but was not able to take anything stronger than Tylenol. She was also due for another operation,( one that was being forced by law ) on her permanatly dislocated hip. This was to remove part of her upper leg so that it was no longer connected by bone .
Her Dad couldn't let her suffer anymore and put her in his pickup , ran a hose and euthanised her with carbon monoxide .She went painlessly to sleep.
Did he do the right thing? Did the courts do the right thing when they put him in jail?Should he be up for parole or should he serve his full term? Are prisons to protect us from criminals , and if so , did Robert Latimer pose a danger to society? Was his jailing warranted at all?

If we, in our fair nation, had the same gun laws as the USA, would you purchase a handgun and keep it in the house for use in cases of self-preservation /protection, or would you opt out?

The collapse in to absolute, global chaos, anarchy, armageddon, whatever you want to call it, as seen in so many Hollywood movies (I'm inspired after recently seeing Children of Men at the cinema).

Or will we, as we have for the last few millenia, always witness our ups and downs, but in the end always remain fairly constant?

What are your thoughts- and, if you think humankind will crumble eventually, will it be in the near future in your opinion?

Thanks!

in india, some decades ago, such women were considerd with stigma, with no fault of theirs. even divorce was not easier then. if they happen to like some body, society would criticise them as wayward, !
i would like to know from both indian answerers, as well as from other parts of the world, what is the status of such women in their countries, and how do such women, whose lives have become miserable, due to loneliness, no kids, desire for male company, finding some purpose for living life, craving love, are tackled ?
what is the pattern of an indian society, in the past, and now ? will the society take kindly with them ?
how about in other countries ? any similar problems ?

we come across many women, who never got married, and as a result, are alone, to themselves. do you think, this is an universal phenomenon, or does it relate to taking over family responsibility financially, and sacrificing marriage ?
if at a later stage, they happen to like some body, should they go for a late mariage ? may be in their late thirties ? will they be happy ?

You go in & do your business, you then wash your hands
& then you have to touch the manky door handle that the last person touched and your hands get all germ coated again...

Why don't they fit electric doors in public toilets ? or some kind of door where you don't have to touch it? i see so many people who don't wash their hands after going to the toilet and i don't want their poo-germs on my hands...!

I have been noticing over the past few weeks, that my children seem "lost" without certain items, I normally don't leave the house without my purse and cell phone, and my husband never leaves without all his firepagers and cell phone. Who agrees that we, as a population, are WAY to attached to material items? I wonder if we are really happier with all of these "things"? or if we would be just as happy without them? Just some stuff that has been on my mind today, Thanks for any responses.
