we come across many women, who never got married, and as a result, are alone, to themselves. do you think, this is an universal phenomenon, or does it relate to taking over family responsibility financially, and sacrificing marriage ?
if at a later stage, they happen to like some body, should they go for a late mariage ? may be in their late thirties ? will they be happy ?

some people just dont want to get married, it may be a personal choice it may be something that has put them off, it may just be they havent found the right person. Marriage doesn't really mean that much these days, which is a shame. But with so many failed marraiges out there, in everday life, not including so called celebrity marriages (marrying after being with each other 2 minutes) todays generation, and future generations will place no value in marriage. I think you should live together for a few years before committing to something as secure as a wedding. I truely believe a marriage should be for life. Although these days others dont seem to place such a strong belief in it.
You say they let the right time slip by them, I say they were not ready, even if you were.

I know lots who get married then divorced.
Today it seems like marriage is not important. The shack up and make babies.
Maybe it's a good thing. You aren't responsible for the debts of the other. You don't have to get new papers when you separate. No changing of names.
Some girls don't want a man on top of them every night.
Some girls just think they can wait, but they forget that men pair up with them based on looks and youth. That's not important with a guy. You see all sorts of old guys with young girls, but few old women with young guys.
90% of the girls don't seem to understand they reach a point where they don't compete in the marketplace anymore. 10% still do, but not everyone is that lucky.
Some girls and guy are alone and happy. Some are not.

why not.delay in marriage can happen to any body based on many factors which may not be the lady`s fault.that does not mean she can not be Good wife even better than others.

what makes you think they want to get married ever. Some people just don;t want to and there is nothing worng with that
