If we, in our fair nation, had the same gun laws as the USA, would you purchase a handgun and keep it in the house for use in cases of self-preservation /protection, or would you opt out?

I am not sure about the gun laws in the USA, but I would purchase a handgun and keep it in the house for self-preservation/protection. In the world we live today one unfortunately does have to have some kind of protection which is a shame.

I am not in the UK but in Canada. We have strict gun control laws. We also have a much lower crime rate. I would certainly opt out. I feel safer with no guns.

No, the reason so many people are shot in the usa is because so many have guns. If you were a criminal and the police carry guns, wouldn't you have one yourself? UK is better without them

I hope we never relax our gun laws in the UK, I woudn't like to own a gun, You can out run someone with a knife but you can't out run a bullet. I'm not sure what I would do.

I would never choose to own a gun, they are the worse invention ever!! Why can't they invent a stun phaser? I'd have one of them!!!

i wouldn't. i'd be afraid that i'd use it. the purpose of a gun is to kill people, or seriously injure them, and since i try my best to be a non violent person, i would not own one. ever.
