You go in & do your business, you then wash your hands
& then you have to touch the manky door handle that the last person touched and your hands get all germ coated again...
Why don't they fit electric doors in public toilets ? or some kind of door where you don't have to touch it? i see so many people who don't wash their hands after going to the toilet and i don't want their poo-germs on my hands...!

most public toilets don't have paper towels anymore. they have those useless hand drier machines.

Correct. Try to always carry some tissue of your own m8, as not all public toilets have them. Use this to have in your hand to open the door........Wish others were as hygienic as you are m8......

I've wondered this too. It's not so bad if the door swings outward to get out of the restroom--then you can just push it with your shoulder and be out the door without touching anything.
I asked a question ages ago here about is it rude to point out (nicely, of course) to someone in a public restroom that she didn't wash her hands. You would have thought I'd committed murder and confessed to it the way people were screaming at me! Many people said to take hand sanitizer to use after I get out of the restroom. Well excuse me, but why did I just spend the last 30 seconds scrubbing my hands with soap and hot water if I just have to re-wash them with that garbage sanitizer after the fact?
It's amazing to me how many people (women included!) say, "I didn't touch anything when I wiped--why should I wash my hands?" Yeah, well sweetheart, YOU might not have touched anything, but the person who used the toilet before you could have been ******* digging for gold up in her crotch, then flushed the toilet then touched the handle to the stall. No thanks--I think I'll just try to avoid public restrooms at all costs!!

I agree that people are unhygienic. I always wash my hands no matter what I do!! They put hand driers in cos theyre more environmentally friendly and dont use paper but they do seem to take rather long sometimes!! the loos in my local shopping centre dont have a main door as theyre sort of open plan cos theyre indoor, so i dont have to touch a dirty handle!!

i know i use tissue to touch the door the tap and the main door to get out of the stinking place. I hate using public toilets.

Kango man - you are a genius. You said what we all think.
Anyway, public toilets are well known for reasons other than micturating or defocating. I suggest you hold it 'till you get home.....that is unless you find a homless.......

well...its all about the money mostly. Electronic doors are quite expensive to buy and maintain hence many place don't have them for thier rest rooms.
