I am writing a guidebook on how to have a sucessful yard sale. Have you ever gone to a yard sale and the person running it gave you (or your child) something free. What was it, what did that act mean to you, did it make your day? Please share your story...

Republicans & conservatives are in political power, but everything is somehow the fault of liberals and democrats (right-wing radio goofs are still blaming Clinton for everything, yet he hasn't been in office for six years). Christians outnumber atheists by a huge number and always have, but claim moral decline is because of a lack of faith in God. Has it occurred to you that maybe the state of things is YOUR fault?

Why it socially acceptable in every other country in the world to smoke but not in the US? Tobacco is a main cash crop in the US and pretty well built the economy for this country. Now everyone just wants to ban it here and ban it there, tell me I can't smoke in my car, outside, in a bar? If they had it their way in my home. WHY?

If you do, here is some helpfull hints to get you through the week. What do you think? Let me know!
WAYS TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LEVEL OF INSANITY

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.

4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN".

5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for smuggling diamonds".

7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy".

8. Don't use any punctuation.

9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

10. Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat -- with a serious face, of course.

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go".

12. Sing along at the opera.

13. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds all day at work.

14. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.

15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood.

16. Have your coworkers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Bottom.

17. When the money comes out of the ATM, scream "I won! I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling, "Run for your lives, they're loose!"

19. Tell your children over dinner "due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."

20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity, e-mail this to someone to make them smile and laugh. Its called therapy

I was in a public business, and one of the employees was having a bad day and started yelling at me in front of about 25 people, and then decided to call me a "WET-BACK". I am an american native, and she did not call me by any other name other than that. what should I do?Her boss has already called my girlfriend and admitted that it did happen, and wanted to know what she could do to make it right.

Some of us might feel pressured or overwhelmed with things that we know have to be done but are sometimes not wanting to do it. For me, my parents come in my room literally beating an ACT book over my head, then I have to worry if i'm even going to make it to college because of that goddamn test and I have just school, In general, to deal with. I don't know if my parents are trying to scare me into thinking that I have so many things to do or what, but it can become hectic sometimes. I don't know what to do, I try and go to the library to get most of my studies done, but even they have their own agendas to tend to. Give me your imput on this topic and tell me times when you feel you were really overwhelmed.

I spent 10 years at a samll company. I recently started a postion a few months ago at a very large company in the same industry but yet i took a contract position with this large company so that I could make the jump for my career. Now because with the name of this large company on updated resume that is out there on job message boards from before, I am getting calls out the woodwork frompeople and they are all ofeering me almost 60 -70% more than what I am currently earning now, which my curent salary is not too shabby either. But the $ is so tempting and the chance to maybe relocate with my wife, we have no kids yet. But should I keep and honor my currentl employer's wiggle room contract or if I know I am hitting my stride right now , should I go for it while I am hot right now or should I wait a year to see if I am still hot right now? In my short time at the current employer, they already have said how impressed they were about my performance, should i go for the brass ring now?

I think it came out in the early 1990s, perhaps a made-for-tv film. It was about a female doctor who had a preteen son. She would treat pregnant mothers and when they went into labor she would steal the baby and tell the mother that the baby had died. She fooled her son into thinking she was pregnant by wearing a cushion. I think he found out when he was 18 or 19, near the end of the film. Also, I remember there was this one shot of a room with a whole bunch of babies in cages stacked on top of each other, perhaps they were incubators.
Do you remember this movie?
