hi.. i'm a student here co-currently organising a program (moon cake festival) for the elderly. i'm tasked to think of activities or performance that allows student to interact with elderly. some of the ideas i came out with is karaoke, chess competition, and cha cha however i'm not confident that the three will bring entertainment to the elderly and student due to resource and time constraint.. do you guys have any more idea? i'm very appreciated if there's volunteer and ideas thank you guys very much.. pls reply asap :)

they are not educated in english, all of them may have different dialect. and the student may not be able to speak with them

You could have a puppet show, music sing along, checkers, making collages, indoor picnic, dress up day, Story reading. Dancing.

Organize a knitting party. Everyone who knows how to knit can teach those who don't, regardless of age group or sex.
Knitting is great for everybody, and it's something that can spill over and keep going, even outside the group.
Of course, I love to knit, so I'm biased.

bingo is one,reading stories or from the Bible,singing and music,both country music and gospel,playing cards,dog and cat visits so they can pet them,slow dancing,hawaian day,hot dog day,there is so much to do,just talking is nice,too.I worked in a retirement home and the residents love to get their hair done.Dressup day,call in some volunteers to play guitar,piano.The students could take the residents for short walks.Make a short play for them to watch.

Hell!!! Have a strip show ,That would get the adrellion running
& you wouldn't have to worry about weather they understood it.
