the advantages and disadvantages of young people joining specific youth subcultures?

I believe it is responsible of destroying the unity of family and community where values and morals have been upheld.Gangs and false prophets also do the same thing.

I think youth subculture is good in that it gives young people a chance to express themselves and be free of adult instruction. They need to learn to be individuals and challenge authority when appropriate.

On the other side, youth subculture can put a lot of pressure on a young person to conform to that culture. Since young people are still learning about the world, sometimes their subcultures encourage foolish things. Also, youth subculture can used to manipulate young people for purposes of television, merchandising, etcetera.
