Would like to know the places in the State of Oklahoma that still has a Native American majority, where one can see and picture (as in photograph) their day to day life.

The Native page of the Shop Oklahoma website has a good list. The Cherokee, my tribe, still have their Tsa La Ghi (Cherokee) Heritage Center. Anadarko, Indian City USA, has an excellent similar facility. The Five Civilized Tribes (Creek, Cherokee, Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw) also has a website to use for reference, contact, or directions. Good luck. Besides those, there are tribal offices between Ponca City and Stillwater as well as Miami, Bartlesville, Pawhuska (Osage, do visit them), Okmulgee and elsewhere. Before you leave Oklahoma into Missouri on US 60 there is a very good small tribal office. Oklahoma became dumping ground for Indian tribes by the dozen. Go down to Lawton (Ft. Sill) and you will see where some of the more western tribes had people for a while, such as the Navajo and Apache. But if you want to see still more, I invite you to visit New Mexico and Arizona. On the interstate between Alberquerque and Flagstaff the Navaho are big, scan the radio and you will even pick up a Navajo-language radio station. There are the River Tribes of the Colorado, Havasupi have a beautiful but rustic waterfall. The Quechan and Cocopah are down near Yuma, with other tribes near Lake Havasu and Blythe. Then too, there are the central tribes around Pheonix and Tucson. The Dakotas are another place for the tribes. There is great poverty. There are many sad people, but they have the memories of past pride that they continue to nurture in their hearts. Be kind, patient, and carefully generous when you go.

Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is the capitol of the Cherokee Nation. I am not sure what you expect to see, regarding everyday life, as it resembles everyday life of most Americans. Should you ever visit a Native American nation's territory, show respect and do not make typical white person comments like 'injuns', squaw, war bonnet, savages, etc. or you will find yourself with an escort to the door. We were the first people the United States government proclamated genocide against, we were the first people that were enslaved, we were the first people that the US government did not honor treaties with, and that continues to this day. So mind your manners and realize you are, or will, experience, a dying people.

There are NO NATIVE AMERICANS. Indians are just Asians who came here first and did not create a real civilization but stayed rather Neanderthalish
