I was attacked for my question and for a few hours afterwards I took it very personally. Some went overboard and insulted my name, picture, other questions, etc. But I also got a lot of positive feedback. I know this happens a lot, and am I being too touchy? I have answered some really interesting questions from what I think are really great people. Thank you whoever you are.

does it strike you as wrong for a white person to tell anyone of another race to just "get over" slavery or discrimination?or doesnt it sound wack for a person of the average white majority to tell anyone else things such as to"get over" kosovo,"get over" gas chambers,"get over" this and that and "get a life" deal with it" etc-while telling others to "get over" things like that,it may not be an outright racial slur and it doesnt mean that you support those things, but doesnt that just sound like it belittles serious issues and serious atrocities from a rather sheltered, culturally self-centered point of view? please understand that i am not saying this about anyone specific out there because the people with the q&a are anonymous - i'm just sayin that there are such people who say comments like the above -what do u think about that?do u find it to be wrong? do u think it's okay, not a big deal? its a question just for human beings - i dont care if you're white, black, blue or green

Satisfied with the legacy you would leave behind?
If no to these, what impedes you?

We (African Americans) use the N-word like pennies at a candy shop but are quick to be offended when used by other races of people. For a long time I was guilty. But as I grow older I've learned this.... If I call my children "STUPID" but would be willing to sue in the event that one of their teachers called them that, then I should be willing to take myself to court.

Black people wake up! If you make it a term of endearment, then let it be a term of endearment. If you should be ready to spend your life in prison for acting out when a white man call you N*****, then you should be willing to spend you life refraining from saying the word at all.

Perhaps in the past when english people discovered countries and were too lazy to pronounce it how it is,they created english pronunciations or borrowed them from other languages. But why don't we now start calling countries like with their pronunciations like they are supposed to be --"Mexico( with accent on e", "La France", "Nihon", "Brazil", instead of Russia say what it really is..i don't even know what it is in russian. etc etc.

I live in a small close in an end terrace, the side of my house is always being hit by footballs and tennis balls. There is also a big green patch infrount of the house and there is usually between 5 and 20 kids aged 3 to 16 out there. They put rubish in my gardens, hit the house with paintballs, play loud music, swear, and have recently smashed a double glazed window with a large rock. They have dented our car and thrown rotten food in the garden, I can't let my dogs out without checking the whole garden first. We are tired of staying inside with all the windows and cutains shut. What can we do? We are afraid to report it as we don't want things to get worse. Every time I have spoken to them, it has made things worse. We are fed up, it starts at 8am and goes on all day and night!

Have you ever heard the whole "oh, he was wasted, so ignore everything he said" argument? Oh and I'm not referring to the whole Gibson fiasco specifically. If a person chooses to get wasted, that person should accept responsibility for the things they do/say while they are wasted. I don't drink, but I'm curious if that is often an accepted excuse by people when they go out at night and get slammed.
