I truly love my job. I teach young children with special needs, and while it is sometimes frustrating and aggravating, it is also fun and exciting and never ever boring. I get at least one good laugh and at least one "awww" moment of sweetness every day. I love the assistants who work with me, too. I think people love their jobs when they find personal satisfaction in doing what they do. That makes it worthwhile even through the tough times that are part of every line of work. If there's no joy in your day, it's tough to get going to the job. But my job is joyful!
Having said that, I feel fortunate, because I know many people who hate their jobs. I know you've got to pay the bills, but for anyone who hates their job, remember that it depletes your psychic energy to do a job you hate. So think about either changing your attitude (finding the parts of the job that you like and focusing on that) or change your job.

I think the people who truly love their jobs are the ones who enjoy what they're doing and feel a sense of accomplishment in their work. There are other factors that make the work situation pleasant, such as good pay, lots of benefits, decent hours, friendly co-workers, understanding bosses, a productive work environment, lots of room for advancement, etc. etc. But realistically, even the most sought-after job doesn't have all these perks, and some jobs have none at all -- they are just a means of survival.
However, some people tolerate their jobs because it's become a habit to get up in the morning and go to work. It's like being in school again, where you don't have much choice in the matter.
Perhaps the happiest people are the ones who are self-employed. They have the best boss in the world -- themselves!

I'm a funeral director / embalmer and I love my job. There's nothing else I'd rather do ... except when it comes to packing a cadaver's orifice. Totally disgusting, but absolutely necessary. Don't want granny releasing a death turd in her four-thousand dollar casket ... in the middle of the rosary service. Nothing you can do at that point, and it's unlikely anyone's going to interrupt the service by wondering out loud, "what the fu*k is that smell??" Nope. It turns into a Mexican stand-off between those wondering who farted and the funeral director PRAYING somebody farted! Ha!
Peace :)

i love my job. i wouldn't trade it for anything. well , maybe, but that would only mean i wouldn't get paid.
every time i go to the store or wherever, i look at people's hair, makeup, skin, clothing, their shape, the way they hold themselves, if they limp or have shoulders that don't 'match' (one higher or 'shorter' than the other). i'm always looking on how to improve myself or how to 'tweek' someone else.
