Has anyone asked a question and "hit a tender spot" so to say?

I was attacked for my question and for a few hours afterwards I took it very personally. Some went overboard and insulted my name, picture, other questions, etc. But I also got a lot of positive feedback. I know this happens a lot, and am I being too touchy? I have answered some really interesting questions from what I think are really great people. Thank you whoever you are.

No,not a question but I have answered a few where the person asking the question insulted me.I did take it personally until I checked their profiles and found out they insult a lot of people.
The last one was just yesterday,where the person called me stupid.It hurt at first but then I considered the source.The twit insults a lot of other people.On the same day I got three best answers!
No,I don't think your being too touchy.When you put a lot of thought and effort into a question or answer, it does hurt when people shoot you down.Especially when their doing it for their own sick pleasure.
I think this site reflex's society in general.We're always going to run into people that will try to hurt us,emotionally.You just have to ignore them and remember most people out here still care.

So far, I've been lucky and never had anyone insult me. But then, I don't ask stupid questions. I don't mean you. I mean, really, look at the inane and rude things some people have put out there. I guess they have nothing better to do than waste space. Try not to take it to heart. If someone insults your name or picture, that just proves how shallow they are.

No but I had honestly answered a question which pissed off a person...There are so many people on yahoo answers that we are bound without a doubt to strike a core within them...that's why I try and be careful about the questions I ask...why do you think I made my email addy invisible to others lolol...
