Perhaps if the standard improved via public outrage against these careless (probably cell-talker) drivers, the incidence of their near-misses of walkers and bikers would decrease.

Instead of actually researching a topic from accredited sources, people are asking for just anyone's opinion or answer to any question. This all just seems like an ever easier method to spread ignorance and mediocrity.

Not that it would stop hormone-laden teens from continuing to act like idiots or anything. But we sure could drop our deficits around this country by fining underage smoking.
But seriously, why is underage drinking against the law, but not underage smoking?

It seems we always seem to repeat ourselves and that there is nothing really NEW in the world we just take what is here and re-arrange it into different forms. SO that being said, do you think we as humans have a finite number of thoughts we can think?

We've had land wars, religious wars, power struggles, human rights reforms and scientific advancement in almost every sphere of society. Yet, we allow history to repeat itself- especially the sad, aweful history.
Don't answer 'there's nothing we can do' because WE, together, joined under one common goal, are the only ones who can do anything about it!
Isn't it time WE started standing up for what we believe in, instead of waiting around for Karma to do its thing, or for God, Allah or whatever you call Him to further punish us for our neglect of other human beings? I am tired of watching the greedy, corrupt, power-hungry leaders of our world turn us against each other, when we are all suffering the same issues. Do you think a mother, daughter or son in the third world countries do not suffer the same way we do?
It's time guys---it's time to stop thinking about your little patch of land and start looking over the fences to find a common goal for the world to come together!!
