Instead of actually researching a topic from accredited sources, people are asking for just anyone's opinion or answer to any question. This all just seems like an ever easier method to spread ignorance and mediocrity.

How do you want us to answer that question? Did YOU look for 'official' sources?

You see, sometimes, there is no 'truth' or yes or no answer and people actually want to have the opinion of somebody else.

Or sometimes, people don't know where to begin a search or just don't know how to use a search engine properly.

Of course, some poeple spreads falslyhood without even knowing that they are. Others just want to be heard - whaterver they are saying.

And others again just want to ventilate or say their opinion, and they found this forum to do it in a question form.

i dont usually answer the question if i dont know what theyre talking about....and usually questions generate more then one answer so they can pick and choose what they would like..maybe alot of people go with the majority answer because everyone seems to agree that that would be the logical answer...i dont think its spreading mediocrity and ignorance to ask for others help...maybe its you spreading hate that you just cant accept this as being good for some people

I couldn't help but to be curious about the way you answered past questions. After looking at the last two you responded to, one 4 hours ago and another 4 days ago, they hardly look as though alot of educated thought went into them, or anything akin to research. You chose some very shallow questions and gave like responses.

that is a negative way to view it...it sounds jaded...you can't possibly believe that everyone that participates here is disingenuous..a lot of people are extremely educated..this is an open forum..open to all...it can also spread intellegence and understanding..if viewed properly..i get good answers from the computer type of questions..also from music and where i need facts on sports history..maybe you ask in the wrong categories.

I wouldn't answer a question unless I knew what I was talking about or could research it. If someone is giving an inaccurate response to a query I would challenge it. People have valuable information, why shouldn't they share it?

I think it gives a place for people of different beliefs and different backgrounds to give their opinions on different subjects, the asker can read each answer, if they want to, and research for themselves. Gives them more ideas. Its a place where people can share ideas, thoughts feelings, even give advice or just joke around.

I'm sure you're right. I don't see a lot sources linked with responses and certainly I don't bother to do that either.

I guess I'm as full of hooey as anybody. Of course that's what makes this fun!
