If you had grown up with my older brother, you would understand.
I learned at an early age, that a person in pain doesn't really appreciate simpathy laid on too thick. My brother understood that, and would laugh outragously when I bumped my elbow, or knee! The fighting side of me rose to the occasion, and the mock battle was on. And the laughter built as the pain subsided.
I can still hear his wisdom, "It'll feel better, when it stops hurting...ha ha ha"
It may not be the same for girls...

I knew many guys that called me honey and it never meant anything. With one guy I thought that it did but he was taken and eventually told me to go away, after calling me honey, go figure. It was like what did I do. All I did was respect him, be his friend, I had his back more than once when he didnt even know it, I was sweet to him, and the list goes on, but once I told him how I felt, he bolted and told me no contact, after he touched me. Unbelievable! So I will tell you first hand that honey means absolutely nothing. Without actions it just doesnt mean much except maybe friendship, especially if he has a gf. Dont go there. You'll get hurt........he might just want you for sex on the side. It's like he's got the cheeseburger and now he wants the fries or he's got the cake and now he wants the icing. That's just bad.

If you hit it really hard, it can be quite painful. However if you bump it lightly (and even when you hit it hard and it's very painful) there is this really "funny" numbing sensation that shoots up your whole arm. That bone creates a different or "funny" sensation in your arm that no other bones can. So that makes it a "funny" bone. Isn't that funny?

Because there actually is a spot inbetween your elbow bone and a tendon where, if you happen to hit it there it sends a tingling sensation up your arm. For some people it feels a tad ticklish. For me it does anyway. But I think it's just for a few seconds then the pain comes, lol.

The funny bone is actually called the humerus bone, and you're hitting the ulnar nerve, which causes it to hurt. I guess it is because humerus sounds like humor.
