The rest of my workday?! I have 2 hours and I feel like I havent stopped all day...I still have a ton of stuff to do after work am I gonna Keel over and die?

I am mixed with B and W and I have noticed a lot of differences between a mostly white community and now living in a mostly Black community. I am not an all out nerd, but I am intelligent, and when it comes to college, I take it seriously. I do my work, and try my best to do it well. Come on! I want A's! In the white community, people commended this. But now in a Black community the people seem to shun me like a nerd or something. When they look at my work, they make a comment like "Whateva", and give little snide looks to eachother like I've done something stupid and nerdy. I'm not a nerd, but a lady trying to make something of my life for me and my family.

I am a Muslim child. There are always people making fun of me because of my beliefs. I don't attack them or anything. I just keep myself under my control, and serenly respond to their everlasting antics. This is also a problem with Jews and other minority (in the U.S.) religion followers.

We have NEVER made any racial slurs nor have we ever brought up the subject of race, yet our neighbor, whom we don't even know very well, has spread rumors throughout our new neighborhood (it's 2 years young) that we are racist and that we called her the "n" word. Our problem with her is solely due to disrespect for our property and we've told her that. We've never filed a police report, despite the numerous trespassing instances because we didn't want to be un-neighborly about it. Instead, we approached her and asked her to stop. We've considered a defamation of character lawsuit but our attorney doesn't advise it. We've also considered a professional mediator but all she does is yell at us and won't let us speak. I told her that I couldn't believe she could lie to my face about something I never did. Our community seems to believe the rumors instead of getting to know us firsthand. This hurts me deeply beause I am a Christian and would never do the things she accuses me of.

When i see things about war in tv. it's always Iraq, and countries like that. Other than that pearl harbor thing, has there been anything here where the armies fought here? and how would it be if we had War here say in New york... in middle of Time Square, or in Hollywood..
