blowing in his face is an act of aggression. don't do it.
besides, i always wondered if our breath really smells
all that good. remember his sense of smell is much
stronger than ours.

all dogs react different. i use to have a dog that was so mean. if i blew in his face he would try to take my face off, but my new dog allows it.

it might because your breath might be to hot and dogs noses are Wet ant moist and it might scare them.
