Obviously you aren't secure in your belief system. If you were, you wouldn't afraid to "pass on" to the judgment stage of your death.
I'm NOT saying there IS a judgment stage, I'm saying that earthbound spirits are afraid that here IS a judgment stage and are therefore, afraid to go on.

.You are probably watching too many episodes of Ghost Whisperer. I am not aware of earthbound spirits after death. Perhaps you are talking about "ghosts" but I find it amazing you would ask CHRISTIANS about this. They believe in heaven and hell. They do NOT believe in earthbound spirits. Not any religion I know of anyway. I am not in charge so I really couldn't tell you what my thoughts were about you becoming an earthbound spirit. I think you won't have control over that either. Sorry!

I don't have any thoughts about you becoming an earthbound spirit after you die! Should I?

That's not even an option according to the Bible. No one gets to choose where their spirit goes after death... it will be decided at the judgment seat of Christ, and the only two destinations will heaven or hell.
You can make-believe anything you want, (as many people do), but it won't override the facts or the Truth.
Why don't you read and study the Bible for yourself instead of asking such ignorant, fantasy questions? (Sorry Lord!)

One word: Pathetic (meaning: able to be pitied)
No where in the Bible does it instruct you how to become an "earthbound spirit" so therefore I will tell you how. Break up with someone. Then in anger, immediatly hang yourself (or anything that results in death).

As for Christianity, we go to sleep when we die and we won't wake up until the rapture or judgment day. Whichever we qualify for.

my faith doesn't allow for this option. after death, our spirit is judged according to the Word of God and we recieve either the reward or condemnation it deserves. it's no more complicated than that. try it.
