To work for an extra hour each day for no more money. The extra revenue generated would go to directly towards easing poverty and starvation in the poorest places and ensuring EVERYONE had enough to eat and basic medical healthcare.

Would you agree to it?

Be honest

Lo all, Right was reading the paper the other day and an article just lept out and said something to me it read "Church of England to scrap St George". Thier reason was because they didn't want to upset muslims due to its links to the Crusades. Now i'm not rasist or hate anyother countries but is it just me or have our goverment just gone insane? I mean this is england isn't it?

My own theory is that the point of life is for a person to put a dent on history (whether good or bad) and does one or more incredible things in their lifetime....for example a person who invents a cure for cancer, or a person who leads an army into victory, or a person who starts a fashion trend, or a person who once flew an airplane and killed 300 people with a single bomb, or a person who invented post-it sticky notes, or a one-legged person to walk across a country with crutches, or a person who won miss america, or a person who found an important ancient artifact, or a person who won any large competition, or a person who was the first to do something extraordinary. Everytime a person is being talked about after they die, whether in a good way or bad, these people stick a quarter in their immortal meter. So all the mundane jobs people do like being a mail-man, accountant, stripper, truck driver, mechanic ,will never allow a person to fulfill one's life (that is---to be special)

I have been given the opportunity to live in USA. I am looking for a place suitable for a family consists of a mother & 4 kids staying alone without a man. So I need less violence, less drugs, peace, low cost of living. A secure place where familes live cooperating with each other, as well as good weather.

Dont Get me wrong.I respect Thomas Edison alot.He helped create music. But would he allow people to sing and play racial songs if he wasnt racist?Listen to this song. Its only 1 minute and14 seconds. Its old but you can here it clearly.

I know the song is weird but still...The Songs Name is "All Coons Look Alike To Me".The name is racist itself. Why would Thomas Edison allow this song to be playd if he wasnt racist/I know it was normal to think like that back then. Was it for money or maybe attention? What do you think?

I think his quote is promoting capitalism and greed. The country actually supplies us with shelter (once we build a home from wood), food (plants, animals..etc..) and clothing (cotton, leather...etc.). Why should an individual do something for "their country" if we were put on earth without our consent to do something against our will, for the most part. Its even written in the bible that man should take advantage of nature and of what it has to offer. Reaction please!!!

Everywhere I look, people are complaining about how they feel, how their emotions have been unbalanced by the daily grind...I'm beginning to think that feelings are just a way for people to justify their inability to cope with a changing world.
But that might be a little too cynical for modern American society.

Every house I ever lived in, I see ghost. Never a frontal view, always from the corner of my eye. Last house I live in was an old man in Khaki pants and a fedora. This house, I dont see them, but I their shadows all the time. Sometimes, I know theyre here and dont want to go in the other room. They feel malevolent here and I need to know what to do to drive them away. Any ideas?

I guess my question is mainly about hispanics because that is the cultural I deal with the most. Why is is that I have to change so much to accomodate them but they dont take the steps to learn about me. Take my laws. I learned spacish, i learned to cook mexican food, i celebrate their holidays, i have to keep my house running the way they say. And before you all ask I do these things because I would rather avoid conflict. I was just wondering why it is so importnant that I be like them when I think being me is not so bad. Maybe it is just my inlaws. any ideas?

Who does it help? Why do Asians not need it? Why do Asians excel without it, and should that be a lesson as to what works and what does not? If we don't have affirmative action, the University of Berkeley Campus would comprise of 75% student body made up of Asians. So in affect, affirmative action is a drag on the Asian population. Get rid of it, and Whitie will be the minority for a change, suck on that one!!
