When it comes to answering this question, answer it in terms of yourself when it comes to when YOU feel you became mature enough to be an adult. Love the person who thought I was trying to justify having a relationship with a minor. Where the hell did that come from???

Everyone is different, but I would say around 25. It takes a lot of experience before one is able to be mature enough to handle things in life, even if one acts mature. Maturity comes with experience and being an adult takes a lot of time and experience.

In the Uk you leave school at 16 and at that age you can join the army and kill a man, you can marry and have children but you cannot buy alcohol until you are 18 or vote in an election until you are 18.

An age should be set for everything - an age when you are consider Adult. I think that age should be 17.

I guess it depends, I moved out and rented my own place etc when I was 17

I'm sure most people will think thats horribly young but I was capable of looking after myself and paying my bills on time so I feel I was ready

But I don't fell I am "mature" enough to have and properly care for a child (I'm 21 now) ... although to be honest though I'm not fond of children so it doesnt matter

Honestly, I was mature enough at 14 or 15. My parents and the vast majority of my family have talked about that, too, and came to the same conclusion. I had a very difficult childhood and upbringing which caused me to mature very quickly. While my family takes pride in the fact that I could take care of myself, practically raised myself, etc. they do not see the irony in that I wouldn't have been like that if they hadn't fallen down on their responsibilities to me.

Well it depends on the situation...some people have to be adult by age 10 others never have to grow up...it all depends on the individuals life...for me Im 26 and still dont have to have full responsibility as other "adults" may, Im not proud of that...I feel that I could be more adult, but I am not forced to be.

Don't know, I still don't think I'm mature enough to be an adult. Scary to think I'm the mother of two wonderful teenagers *smile*
And no other would not agree.

I think I was probably about 34 when the process started and about 40 before I got there.

I was in my 30's before I considered myself to be mature. I don't know if others would agree or not.
