Why is english not the language of the United States? If we wanted Spanish to be the main language they would start teaching that in kindergarden. Dont we all basically speak english? I cant stand how the United States of America does not have a language.

France has french
Spain has spainish etc.... i think you can see my point

I teach at a jewish preschool and I've been teaching the kids the aleph bet song... what song did you learn in gan?

I've heard of 2 before: "....אלף אבא, בת בחר, גמל, דלת, גן סגר" and "... אלף בת, אלף בת, גמל דלת הי, גמל דלת הי" (Thats where the kids repeat after you).

Also, can you teach me any other popular kids songs in Israel. Counting songs, shapes or just fun songs you would learn in gan?

I can read and understand hebrew, so you can write in hebrew or include links.

Thanks!!!!

20 years ago I was paid around £1. a line (55 taps) and I had a computer. Today I'm lucky if I get 40 p. Computer translation hasn't made much headway since Naom Chomsky's famous 'The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak', translated into Russian and back to English - result - 'the vodka's OK, but the meat's a bit off.'
If people want a good translation then they should pay for it - and not expect it to be delivered yesterday.

I live in a country where English is a foreign language, and I would like to know the meaning of "No soliciting", which is written as a public notice. Please help me understand it.

I checked in the dictionary and found that soliciting means "when someone offers to have sex for money." But I am not convinced that a public sign would say such a thing.
Thank you
